Are your products really fragrance-free?
Yes — all BarrierLab products are 100% fragrance-free. This means no synthetic fragrance and no natural fragrance or essential oils. Fragrance is one of the most common causes of skin reactions, so we formulate without it entirely.
What is bakuchiol and how does it compare to retinol?
Bakuchiol is a natural plant-based alternative to retinol. Our Retinol Alternative Moisturiser uses Bidens Pilosa extract which delivers similar anti-ageing results — reducing fine lines and improving skin texture — without the irritation, peeling or sensitivity that traditional retinol causes.
Are your products safe for rosacea, eczema, or psoriasis?
Our products are formulated without common irritants like fragrance, alcohol and harsh actives, making them suitable for sensitive and reactive skin. However we always recommend patch testing first and consulting your dermatologist if you have a diagnosed skin condition.
Can I use the Vitamin C Serum if I have sensitive skin?
Yes — our Vitamin C Serum uses 2% Natural Vitamin C which is a lower, gentler concentration than most serums. It is specifically formulated to be tolerated by sensitive and reactive skin without stinging or irritation.

What are your shipping costs and delivery times?
We offer fast EU shipping in 3-7 days and US in 2-5 days. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location.
What is your returns policy?
Due to the nature of skincare products we cannot accept physical returns once opened. However if you are unhappy with your purchase please contact us at info@barrierlab.co within 14 days and we will do our best to find a fair solution including a partial or full refund.
